Parent/Teacher Conferences!

Dear Sixth Grade Parents and Students,

Last week in Literature, my Sixth Graders continued to read The Tempest by William Shakespeare.  They reviewed the steps for writing a Persuasive Essay and started work on writing a Persuasive Essay, in class.  They chose their own topics.  They worked on their grammar and punctuation workbooks.  In addition to this, they commenced watching Jason and the Argonauts, which they read in the book, Greek Gods and Heroes by Robert Graves.

This week in Literature, my Sixth Graders will continue reading The Tempest by William Shakespeare, which they are enjoying.  They will take notes on The Tempest. They will work on their Persuasive Essays.  They will return to their study of Literary Devices.  They will work on their grammar and punctuation workbooks.  In addition to this, they will watch the next installment of Jason and the Argonauts, which brings mythology to life for them.
