Bravo! Willy Wonka Jr.!

Dear Sixth Grade Parents and Students,

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! CONGRATULATIONS to our shining stars of Willy Wonka Jr., Avella De Gennaro, and co-star, Justin Davidowski, who gave OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES last night, at the Howard Brubeck Theatre, at Palomar College, San Marcos.  CONGRATULATIONS also to our Sixth Graders: Brandon, Bryce, Elara, Hunter, Jack, Kyla, Maya, Rhea, and Taeya.  Your performances were FABULOUS!  CONGRATULATIONS to our budding Set Designer, Lana Walters, who assisted Mr. Perdoni. WOW! 🙂

MANY, MANY, MANY SPECIAL THANKS to Ms. Regan, Ms. Deb’bora (Amazing Directors/Choreographers), Mrs. Nicky Crawford, Mr. Enrico, Mr. Jesse (Incredible Musicians), Mrs. Patty Davidowski (Show Chair/Front of House Manager), Mr. Matthew Perdoni (Set Designer), Nino DeGennaro (Co-Stage Manager) and Ellen Lakin (Head of Props), and many more THANKS to all the dedicated parents who volunteered to help in so many capacities.  More thanks next weekend, five more shows! 🙂

This coming week in literature, my Sixth Graders will continue to read and finish The Tempest by William Shakespeare, which they are enjoying.  They will review for the Final Examination in English.  Then, they will work on finishing their Wordly Wise workbook (one lesson left).  They will also work on finishing their grammar and punctuation editing workbooks. They will continue to watch War Horse by Michael Morpurgo, for Literature on DVD.

The “Final Tests” will be given on Monday, June 11 through Wednesday, June 13.  Your child received a comprehensive guideline to study for the Final, the first week of May, which should eliminate any stress.

Reminder:

  • Willy Wonka Jr. will have two shows today, Saturday, June 2, one show on Friday, June 8, and two shows on Saturday, June 9.  Please support this show, it is AMAZING!

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Please study your guidelines for the Final Examination in English.
  • Please turn in your Persuasive Essay.  My Willy Wonka Jr. performers have been given an extension for this essay, due to lack of time.

Joy, feeling one’s own value, being appreciated and loved by others, feeling useful and capable of production are all factors of enormous value for the human soul, but especially, the child’s soul.  ~ Maria Montessori

Enjoy your weekend and have a grand week ahead.

Sincerely,

Miss Susan ❤
