Spring Is In The Air!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

Our Seventh Graders completed their SAT – 10 tests, and found them quite “easy.” This week, there will be make-up tests for those who may have been absent or sick during the tests.

This coming week in literature, my Seventh Graders will continue to read Greek Gods and Heroes by Roger Lancelyn Green. They will also continue to practice how to apply the A.X.I.S. Method, for “Response to Literature.” A=Assertion, X=Example, I=Inference, and S=Significance, with respect to The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.  They will work on finishing their Screenplays.  They will also work on their grammar and punctuation books.  In addition to this, they will continue to watch The Importance of Being Earnest, for Literature on DVD.

My Seventh Graders will continue with rehearsals for their performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in Drama Class, on Friday.

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Study for the spelling/vocabulary test of Lesson 15 of Wordly Wise, for Thursday, April 19.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 15 of Wordly Wise.
  • Work on finishing your Screenplays, for Thursday.

Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a grand week ahead.

Sincerely,

Miss Susan 🙂
