SAT-10 Testing!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

This week, the SAT-10 will begin on Tuesday, April 10, and will continue until Friday, April 13.  The tests will be given during the morning hours, so please make sure that your child arrives to school on time, in order to avoid any stress.   These tests are not difficult, however, your child will need a good night’s sleep every night and a hearty breakfast each morning of the testing schedule, as this usually enhances test-taking skills.

This coming week in literature, my Seventh Graders will continue to read Greek Gods and Heroes by Roger Lancelyn Green. They will also continue to practice how to apply the A.X.I.S. Method, for “Response to Literature.” A=Assertion, X=Example, I=Inference, and S=Significance, with respect to The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.  They will work on writing their Screenplays.  In addition to this, they will continue to watch The Importance of Being Earnest, for Literature on DVD.

I am happy to report that all of my Seventh Graders scored in the A+/A range, on their Literary Terms Test, last Thursday.  Well done, Seventh Graders! 🙂

My Seventh Graders will continue with rehearsals for their performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in Drama Class, on Friday.

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Study for the spelling/vocabulary test of Lesson 15 of Wordly Wise, for Thursday, April 19.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 15 of Wordly Wise.
  • Work on writing your Screenplays.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a grand week ahead.

Sincerely,

Miss Susan 🙂
