Graduation Week! Summer! Yahoo!

Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Students,

Summer is fast approaching, as we move into our last week of school for this school year!  Graduation is finally here, and it is with a heavy heart that we must say “Goodbye,” to our Eighth Grade Graduates: Alex, Arman, Connor, John, Katya, Matthew, Ohm, and Smita. ❤  This school year has gone by so fast, it is hard to believe that our Eighth Graders will be graduating on Thursday, June 15.  They have been hard-working and talkative students, with an extremely funny, and sometimes bizarre, sense of humor.  It has been a very productive, humorous, and lively year with them. 🙂  Never a dull moment!   I know that they are ready for high school, as they have covered a lot of high school curriculum already, and they did it with ease.  I am very proud of them, and I hope you are, too.  THANK YOU for entrusting me and my colleagues with your teenagers’ education.  It has been a pleasure to know, educate, and love them. ❤

I have finished correcting and grading my Eighth Graders’ “Novellas.”  They did a GREAT JOB, and I am very proud of them.  It was lovely to work in conjunction with Mr. Joel, as he gave our students great insight into writing their novellas, from an author’s point of view. 🙂

THANK YOU to all our parents who drove on our field trip to the beach, on Thursday and Friday.  Our students had a GRAND time, and they behaved superbly.  It was a great way to end the school year. THANK YOU to Mrs. Coogan and Mr. Decking for organizing it. 🙂

A BIG THANK YOU to all our parents who drove on field trips throughout the year, or who helped with the many events and fundraisers at E.C.D.S.  Your participation, generosity, and time are very much appreciated.  ❤

This last week of school will be a very busy week!  Our students will have “Final Tests” in all their classes from Monday through Wednesday.  They have received detailed guidelines from all their teachers, regarding these tests.  My Eighth Graders will have their final exam in English, on Monday afternoon, at 12:27p.m.-1:57p.m.

On Wednesday, the Eighth Graders will have a music video showing in the library, at 11:30a.m.  This will be followed by their performance of Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in the amphitheater.  I hope that you will attend.

On Thursday, Graduation will take place in the amphitheater, at 4:00p.m.  Our graduates are required to be at E.C.D.S. at 3:30p.m., please.

On Friday morning, there will be a pancake breakfast in Rooms 221 and 222.  Then, we will all go down to the field at 10:30a.m., to celebrate Fathers’ Day. ❤

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday and Thursday.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and have a GRAND week ahead.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart! ~ Confucius ❤
