Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

The end of the school year is quickly approaching!  This week will be the last week for homework, apart from homework or tests that some students need to make up, due to absenteeism, illness, etc.  However, there will be “Final Tests” for three days, from Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 14.  Your child/teenager will be given a comprehensive guideline to study for the “Final Tests.”  So, no worries! 🙂

This coming week in literature, my Seventh Graders will continue  reading Greek Gods and Heroes by Richard Lancelyn Green, which they are enjoying.  They will review Parts of Speech.  They will work in their grammar and editing workbooks.  They will finish watching Silas Marner by George Eliot, for Literature on DVD.

This week in Drama Class, my Seventh Graders will have rehearsals for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, without scripts.  Please encourage your child to study his/her cues and lines.  The performance is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14.  The time may change, but I will keep you posted.

Reminder:

Field Day on Friday afternoon, June 2.  All parents and relatives are welcome to join us.

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Please study your cues and lines for A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
  • Spelling/vocabulary test of Lesson 19, on Thursday, June 1.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 19 of Wordly Wise.
  • Rewrites of  your Children’s Chapter Books will be due on Thursday, June 1.

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Enjoy your weekend and have a grand week ahead.

Sincerely,

Miss Susan ❤
