Spirit Week!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

The Seventh Graders did a GRAND job in leading the Mass for “The Crowning of Mary,” on Friday.  Well done, Seventh Graders and Miss Lida!  Great job to my Eighth Graders, too, for leading the procession, and crowning the three statues of Mary.

This week in literature, we will finish reading The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.  In addition to this, we will continue to work in the classroom workbooks, in the hope of finishing them by the end of the school year.  I have changed the due date to June 10, for the last writing project, “Design a Magazine,” in order to give my Seventh Graders more time to complete it.  Rehearsals for A Midsummer Night’s Dream are going well, and are fun and productive.  Great job, Seventh Graders! Please remind your child to learn his/her cues and lines, as time is running out quickly.

Last week in history,  my Seventh Graders read about the history of China.  They will finish reading the chapter this week.

Reminder:

  • This coming week is Spirit Week!  Spirit Field Day will be celebrated on Friday, May 27.

Parents are asked to donate either chips, fruit, or veggies for the lunch on Spirit Field Day.  THANK YOU!

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Please study your cues and lines every night for A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
  • Work on your Magazine Project.

In the mind of the child, we find the key to progress. ~ Maria Montessori

Enjoy your weekend, and have a grand week ahead.

Cheers,

Miss Susan
