The Crowning of Mary!

Dear Sixth Grade Parents and Students,

CONGRATULATIONS to our OMMS students: Jenna Bell, Brooke Benjamin, Stella Ferro, and Athena Woessner, who all gave BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES in the show The Little Mermaid, last Tuesday, at the Star Theatre.  I was particularly blown away by Jenna, who was the STAR of the show, what an AMAZING VOICE!

This week in literature, we will continue with reading Tunes For Bears To Dance To by Robert Cormier.  In addition to this, we will continue to work on finishing our classroom workbooks.  We are making progress in that direction.  We will also return to Literary Terms.

The cursive books have truly paid off for most of my Sixth Graders.  I have seen a big improvement in their cursive since I implemented the cursive workbooks.

This week in history, we will prepare for the next History Test.  Then, we will watch short history documentaries to bring the history to life.

Reminder: The Crowning of Mary

  • The Crowning of Mary will take place on Friday, May 20, after Mass.  All are welcome to attend.

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Spelling/vocabulary test of Lessons 19 in Wordly Wise, on Wednesday.
  • Complete the exercises in Lesson 19 of Wordly Wise.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.  ~ T.S. Eliot

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a GRAND week ahead.

Cheers,

Miss Susan
