Happy May Day!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

This coming week in Literature, we will continue to read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.  In addition to this, we will rehearse for A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, for their performance, on Monday, June 6.  The rehearsals are going well, but please remind your child to work on memorizing his/her cues and lines every night.  This practice will ensure that your child will enjoy his/her performance, and will get the most out of it. If anyone is available to tape the performance, please let me know as soon as possible.  Many thanks!

This coming week, my Seventh Graders will continue to work in their cursive books.  In addition to this, they will work in their comprehension and grammar workbooks.  They will also use the computers and write in their journals.

This week in history, my Seventh Graders will start to learn about the history of China.  They also will watch a BBC documentary about the last day in Pompeii.

The following is the homework for this coming week:

  • Please study for your History Test, on Thursday, May 5.
  • Please study your cues and lines for A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The child becomes a person through work  ~ Maria Montessori

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and have a GRAND week ahead.

Cheers,

Miss Susan
