Graduation Mass!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

Summer is fast approaching, as we move towards the end of our school year…just two more weeks left!  My Seventh Graders have been a very loud, but cooperative and fun class, and they have worked very hard this past school year.  I am so happy with their academic growth and progress.  I am very proud of you!  Great job, Seventh Graders!♥

Sadly, O.M.M.S. students, faculty, staff, and parents will honor and say “Goodbye” to our wonderful Eighth Graders, at our final school /Graduation Mass for this school year, on Friday, June 5.♥  I wish Aileen, Anna, Ashley, Carolynn, Elise, Gianna, Jaden, and Julian great success and happiness, as they move forward into the next chapter of their education…high school.  We will miss them very much next year, but we will continue to treasure and love them forever.♥

This week in literature, the Seventh Graders will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, on Monday evening, June 1, in the St. Francis Hall, at 6:30p.m.  A great evening of entertainment is guaranteed for all who attend.  My Seventh Graders have had a blast rehearsing, and are excited to share their talent with you.  I am so proud of them!

In addition to this, my Seventh Graders will work on finishing their grammar, comprehension, punctuation, cursive workbooks classroom workbooks.  There will be a Literary Terms Test on Thursday, June 11, this date was requested by the Seventh Graders.

This week in history, the Seventh Graders will watch a documentary about Greek history.

This is the last week for weekly homework!  Yahoo!  The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Please study your cues and lines for A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
  • Spelling/vocabulary test of Lesson 20 on Thursday, June 4.
  • Complete the Lesson 20 of Wordly Wise for Thursday, June 4.
  • Study for the Literary Terms Test on Thursday, June 11.
  • Please turn in any other rewrites that are past due.  Many thanks!


  • A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, will be performed on Monday evening, June 1, in the St. Francis Hall, at 6:30p.m.
  • The Graduation Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, at 11:00a.m., in the chapel.
  • The work from your child’s file will go home on Friday, June 5.  Please sign and return the empty envelope to me, on Monday, June 8.  Many thanks!
  • The Student Council party will take place on Thursday, June 4, during lunch time.
  • School Reports will be mailed out from the office, on Tuesday, June 16.
