Spirit Week!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

CONGRATULATIONS to all the OMMS students who participated in the Variety Show on Wednesday evening, May 13.  SUCH WONDERFUL TALENT!  GREAT JOB!  THANK YOU to Mr. Tom Satterfield for hosting the event.

This week in literature, we will continue to read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.  In addition to this, we will continue to work in the classroom workbooks, in the hope of finishing them by the end of the school year.  We will also review the Literary Terms, in preparation for the test on Thursday, June 4.  The next writing assignment will be “Write a Narrative Poem based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Rehearsals for A Midsummer Night’s Dream are fun and productive.  Great job, Seventh Graders! Please remind your child to learn his/her cues and lines.  Our beloved Anthony Visco is recovering well, but is very much missed every day, by his teachers and peers at OMMS.  Anthony will be our “Narrator” in the play.  WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, ANTHONY!  YOU ARE SUCH A BRAVE YOUNG MAN!

Last week in history, my Seventh Graders watched a documentary about Greek history and traditions.  This week, they will continue to learn about the Greek history. Thank you!
