Happy May Day!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

This coming week in Literature, we will continue to read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, in the haughty accent of the English aristocracy.  In addition to this, I will rehearse for A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, for the performance, on Monday, June 1. We had our first rehearsal on Friday, and my Seventh Graders were GREAT!  If anyone is available to tape the performance, please let me know as soon as possible.  Many thanks!

I have made cursive books for my Seventh Graders, as they are becoming careless with regard to their writing skills.  Therefore, they will commence working in these new workbooks, this coming week.  In addition to this, they will work in their comprehension and grammar workbooks.

This week in history, my Seventh Graders will continue to learn about Greek and Roman history.  We will also watch documentaries about the Greek and Roman world, which brings the history to life.

Reminder:

The Seventh Graders’ performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, will take place on Monday, June 1.  Please mark your calendars.

The following is the homework for this coming week

  • Spelling test of Lesson 16 in Wordly Wise will resume on Thursday.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 16 of Wordly Wise for Thursday.
  • Complete the CROSSWORD in Lesson 16.
