Interim Reports!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

THANK YOU to Fr. David Gaa, Kathleen Flanagan (C.O.O.), Mrs. Wanda King, the Governing Board members, and the parents and teachers who attended the Town Hall meeting on Thursday evening.  It was a very uplifting meeting, and I was truly impressed by all of the Governing Board members.  It is exciting to hear that O.M.M.S. is moving forward in a very positive direction.

This coming week in Literature, we will read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, in the hilarious haughty accent of the English aristocracy.  In addition to this, I will continue to audition for A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, for the performance, on Monday, June 1.  I intend to cast whole play by the end of this week.  Some students still have not turned in the reaction paper about The Trojan War, which was due on March 12.  To those students, please submit your papers on Monday, April 20.

I am happy to report that most of my Seventh Graders scored A+’s/A’s on the Literary Terms Test on Thursday.  Great job, Seventh Graders!  I am so proud of you!

This past week in history, my Seventh Graders commenced learning about Greek and Roman history.  This week, they will continue this study and watch short documentaries about the Greeks and the Romans.
