No School on Friday!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

This week in literature, my Seventh Graders will continue to read and  study the poetry of Alfred Lord Tennyson.  In addition to this, they will work on their power point projects.  I have cancelled Wordly Wise homework for next week, as they have a four page reaction paper about The Trojan War, that is due on Thursday.   I also want them to work on their power point projects at home, too.

All Seventh Graders are allowed to bring their laptops to school, with their parents’ permission.  This past week, I distributed  permission slips to my Seventh Graders for this purpose.  A huge THANK YOU to John Rudick, who set up a connection in our network last year, for the Eighth Grade class.  Hence, the laptops can receive WiFi. This means that all students can work on computers at the same time.  GREAT!

This week in history, the Seventh Graders will review Chapter 20, and prepare for the next History Test (Part 1) on Wednesday, March 25.  In addition to this, they will watch history documentaries in order to bring the history to life.

Reminder:

1. It is not too late to order a Yearbook for 2015.  You may give your order forms or love notes to me and I will process them.

2.  No school on Friday, due to Professional Growth Day.

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Reaction paper about The Trojan War is due on Thursday.
  • Work on your power point project.

Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood.  ~ Marie Curie

Enjoy your weekend and have a grand week ahead.

Cheers,

Miss Susan
