Happy Presidents’ Day!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

THANK YOU for the delicious chocolate treats, cupcakes, and cookies that you gave to me for St. Valentine’s Day. You made my day feel very special.  Thank you!  I hope that you all had a wonderful St. Valentine’s Day with your loved ones.

This week in literature, the Seventh Graders will finish reading Inside the Walls of Troy by Clemence McLaren.  In addition to this, they will read a biography of Walt Whitman on the Smart Board. They will also prepare for their next Literary Terms Test.  I have now finished reading and grading all of the Seventh Graders “Magazine Projects.”  I truly enjoyed their work and creativity, but I want some of them to do a little extra work on their projects.  This coming week, I will speak with those students individually about his/her magazine.

This week in history, the Seventh Graders will prepare for their next History Test, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25.  Please encourage your child to study the definitions, questions, and answers for this test.  Thank you. In addition to this, they will watch a second DVD about “Black History,” which truly brings this important history to life.

  1. Please remember to wear your Mass uniform on Ash Wednesday.
  2. The Yearbook 2015 is selling out fast.  Please order your Yearbook to avoid disappointment in June.

The homework for this coming week is as follows:

  • Write up your history definitions, questions, and answers.
  • Study your history notes for the History Test on Wednesday, February 25.
  • Study spelling/vocabulary of Lesson 13 in Wordly Wise for Thursday.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 13 of Wordly Wise for Thursday.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader. ~ President John Quincy Adams

Have a great three-day weekend!  See you on Tuesday.
