Happy Memorial Day!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

Last week’s Spirit Week was a lot of fun, especially, with the culmination of our Sports Day on Friday.  THANK YOU to all our parents who donated food and their free time to serve lunch, in order to make Sports Day so special for our students.  A GRAND TIME was had by all!  FUN! LAUGHTER! DANCING!  A special THANK YOU to Ms. Saundra and the Boone family, who organized the event, to Mr. Joey Betancourt, who played all the great music, and to Mr. Tom Satterfield, who was our wonderful M.C.

The school year is very quickly coming to an end, and we are almost finished our curriculum.  So, hang in there, Seventh Graders!  This week in literature, I will finish reading aloud Hamlet by William Shakespeare.  In addition to this, the Seventh Graders will spend most of this week preparing for the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.  We will work on finishing the classroom workbooks next week after the play.  Many students have already completed some of their workbooks.  Your child’s work from his/her file will go home at the end of the first week in June.  Most of the Seventh Graders scored A/A+’s on their Literary Terms Test, last Wednesday.  Yahoo!

Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world. ~ Maria Montessori

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and have a very Happy Memorial Day with your families.
