It’s Super Bowl Weekend!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students,

Happy Super Bowl Weekend!  I hope that you all will enjoy the Super Bowl on Sunday, and may the best team win.

This week in literature, the Seventh Graders will continue to study and analyze Inside the Walls of Troy by Clemence McLaren, in preparation for their next writing assignment.  In addition to this, they will return to their study of poetry with “The Charge of the Light Brigade” by Alfred Lord Tennyson.  I am very pleased to report that all my Seventh Graders turned in their Magazine Projects. Well done, Seventh Graders!  I look forward to reading and digesting your magazines this coming week.

This week in history, the Seventh Graders will prepare for the next History Test.  Last week, time did not permit us to use the Smart Board for history, however, we should have time for it this week.

Reminder: It is time again to order your Yearbook 2014.  The cost is $45.  We have ordered 115 copies, so first come, first served. Order forms are available in the school office.  If you have photographs from this school year, that you would like included in our Yearbook 2014, please send them in to me.  Michelle, I am counting on you!  No pressure!  Many thanks!

The homework for this week is as follows:

  • Spelling/vocabulary test of Lesson 17 in Wordly Wise on Thursday.
  • Complete all the exercises in Lesson 17 of Wordly Wise.
  • Write up all the history definitions from Chapter 19 into your history notebook.
  • Work on the rewrites of your screenplays.

Life-transforming ideas have always come to me through books.

~ Bell Hooks

Have a SUPER weekend, and have a GRAND week ahead.
