Merry Christmas!

Dear Seventh Grade Parents,

This past week in Language Arts, the Seventh Graders continued to read Inside the Walls of Troy by Clarence Mc Laren.  In addition to this, they worked in their grammar workbooks, their classroom comprehension books, and their journals.   We will continue this work this coming week, and hopefully, finish the classroom comprehension books.  We will also watch the next installment of Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens for Literature on DVD.  There is a Literary Terms Test on Tuesday, December 18, so please encourage your child to study for it.  Many thanks!

This past week, the Seventh Graders read Chapter 5 of their history book Medieval and Early Modern Times.  There will be a History Test after the Christmas vacation in mid January.

The following is the homework for this coming week:

  • Study for the Literary Terms Test on Tuesday, December 18.
  • Turn in the Screenplay on Thursday, December 20.

NO HOMEWORK DURING THE CHRISTMAS VACATIONS.  RELAX!  ENJOY!  HAVE FUN!

I want to thank John and Mary Rudick who joined three Sixth Grade families to purchase three licenses for the use of the Doceri program between our iPads and the Smart Boards.  We, Middle School teachers, are very grateful to you.  Many, many thanks!

Gratitude is the memory of the heart.  ~ J.B. Massieu

I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I look forward to working with your very lovable children in the new year.  Have a GRAND week ahead!

Love,

Miss Susan
